1. Start with a shortlist, not a discount banner
Decide what you need: storage and software support for phones, performance for laptops, or space and energy requirements for appliances. A product you did not intend to buy is not automatically a saving.
2. Compare like with like
Check model numbers, storage, colour and bundled accessories. A cheaper configuration can look identical to the one on your shortlist until you read the specifications.
3. Save a reliable price reference
Record the regular selling price before the event. At sale time, compare the actual payable amount rather than relying exclusively on a crossed-out figure or claimed percentage.
4. Calculate the real checkout total
Consider shipping, convenience charges, bank offer caps, exchange eligibility and payment method. Some promotions cannot be combined; the checkout total is the relevant number.
5. Check who sells and supports the item
Review seller details, warranty provider, service coverage, return windows, and delivery timelines. Keep a record of the final listing and order terms.
